Types of Bolts

Stainless Steel Bolts

Unifit Fasteners is one of the top manufacturers of stainless steel bolts in India that produces accuracy-engineered bolts to use in corrosion-prone and high-hygienic fields. Stainless steel bolts are commonly used in the construction industry, water treatment plants, food and dairy processing and chemical handling systems because they have a high level of durability and resist oxidation. We produce SS 304 through 316, 317, 321, 347 and 304L grades of bolts and hex bolts, heavy hex bolts, socket head bolts and stud bolts, as per ASTM A193 / A320. High-strength and strain-hardened variants can be used in case of demanding loads and corrosive service conditions.

Duplex Steel Bolts

In instances where the normal stainless steels are not suitable, Unifit Fasteners offers the Duplex Steel Bolts that would provide a higher strength, chloride, and SCC resistance. These bolts were made in UNS S31803 and S32205 and are applicable in desalination plants, offshore platforms, chemical tankers and marine engineering where structural reliability is important.

Super Duplex Steel Bolts

We produce Super Duplex Bolts (UNS S32750 / S32760) in extreme service conditions. These bolts provide an outstanding pitting and crevice resistance to corrosion and find a wide application in subsea equipment, heat exchangers, manifolds, risers and flowlines. The controlled heat treatment is used to guarantee long-term toughness devoid of embrittlement.

Inconel Bolts

Unifit Fasteners has provided Inconel 600, 601, 625, 718 and X-750 bolts, which are intended to be used in high-temperature and oxidation-prone conditions. Such nickel-chromium bolts do not fail at the same place as alloys used traditionally, which experience creep or scaling. They are used in gas turbines, furnaces, nuclear plants and thermal processing systems.

Incoloy Bolts

Our Incoloy 800/825 bolts offer a high level of resistance to acid attack, localised corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. Applications of these bolts include numerous applications in pollution control, oil and gas recovery, equipment working with sulphuric and phosphoric acids, and high-temperature process plants.

Monel Bolts

Unifit Fasteners produces Monel 400 and Monel K500 bolts, which are applicable in the marine, chemical and pump systems. Monel 400 exhibits excellent chloride stress-corrosion cracking behaviour, and Monel K500 is stronger, age-hardened and typically used in pump shafts, seawater fittings, propeller systems, and offshore fittings.

Hastelloy Bolts

Hastelloy C276, C22 and B2 body bolts have been designed for use in the most demanding processing conditions, including strong acids and high temperatures, as well as aggressive media. They are widely applied in the production of pharmaceuticals, desulfurisation flue gas plants, petrochemical processing plants and chemical reactors.

Nickel Alloy Bolts

Our products are Nickel 200/201 bolts, which are the best alkali-resistant, ductile and thermally conductive. These bolts are applied in the manufacture of caustic soda, food processing machines, electric parts, heat exchangers, and synthetic fibre.

Copper Nickel Bolts

Unifit Fasteners is the supplier of Cu-Ni 90/10 and 70/30 bolts that are suitable in seawater and marine engineering conditions. They are also better against biofouling and erosion as well as saltwater corrosion and are common in condensers, desalination plants, seawater coolers, naval equipment and ship construction.

Alloy Steel Bolts

Our alloy steel bolts are used in high-pressure and high-temperature applications like refineries, boilers and power plants. Popular ones are ASTM A193 B7, B7M and B16 with high tensile strength and impact resistance. Accurate threading guarantees tight fusion of bolts and high-quality clamping.

Titanium Bolts

Unifit Fasteners produces Titanium Grade 2 and Grade 5 Bolts in which weight minimisation with the highest level of strength and isolation against corrosion are needed. They find application in aerospace, motorsport, desalination, medical equipment and pulp and paper bleaching systems with superior performance over chlorides and oxidising systems.

Bolt Standards We Manufacture & Supply

Unifit Fasteners manufactures precision-engineered industrial bolts that comply with leading international and national standards. Our products are engineered for dimensional accuracy, superior mechanical strength, and interchangeability across global markets.

DIN Standards

DIN standards are widely used in European engineering, heavy machinery, and plant construction. We manufacture DIN standard bolts in multiple grades, coatings, and materials.

Common DIN bolt standards include:

  • DIN 931 / DIN 933 – hex head bolts (partial and full thread)
  • DIN 912 – socket head cap bolts
  • DIN 7991 – countersunk hex socket bolts
  • DIN 961 / DIN 960 – fine thread hex bolts
  • DIN 6914 – high-strength structural bolts
  • DIN 558 / DIN 601 – hexagon head bolts with coarse threads

Although some DIN standards are now superseded by ISO specifications, DIN bolts remain essential for legacy equipment, replacement parts, and European-built machinery.

ISO Standards (International Organization for Standardization)

ISO standards ensure global compatibility and performance reliability, especially in cross-border engineering projects. We produce bolts as per:

  • ISO 4014 / ISO 4017 – hex head bolts replacing DIN 931/933
  • ISO 4762 – socket head cap bolts
  • ISO 898-1 – mechanical properties of carbon/alloy steel bolts
  • ISO 3506 – stainless steel bolt grades A2, A4
  • ISO 4018 / ISO 4016 – non-alloy steel hex bolts
  • ISO 15156 / NACE MR0175 – sour service bolts for H₂S environments

These standards are widely used in oil & gas, offshore platforms, power plants, and refineries.

BS Standards (British Standards)

For UK and Middle East engineering projects, we supply bolts manufactured to BS specifications, including:

  • BS 3692 – precision hexagon bolts and screws

  • BS 4190 – black hexagon bolts and nuts for general engineering

Many BS standards are now aligned with ISO, ensuring easy substitution and global acceptance.

IS Standards (Indian Standards – BIS)

For domestic Indian installations, we supply bolts as per Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS):

  • IS 1363 / IS 1364 – hex bolts, nuts, and screws
  • IS 1367 – technical supply requirements
  • IS 3757 – high-tensile structural bolts for steel construction

These bolts are widely used in infrastructure, fabrication, railways, refineries, and EPC projects.

Applications & Uses of Bolts

  • Heavy Machinery & Automotive
  • Chemical & Process Industries
  • Power Generation
  • Aerospace & Specialized Engineering

People Ask About Bolts Manufacturer

What are bolts used for?

Bolts are used to securely join two or more components together in mechanical, structural, or industrial assemblies. They provide strong, removable, and adjustable connections in applications such as machinery, construction structures, pipelines, automotive parts, equipment installations, and steel fabrications. Bolts are preferred where high load-bearing capacity, reliability, and ease of maintenance are required.

What are the types of bolts?

Bolts are available in many designs depending on application, load requirement, and installation method. Common types include Hex Bolts, Heavy Hex Bolts, Carriage Bolts, U-Bolts, Eye Bolts, Anchor Bolts, Flange Bolts, Socket Head Bolts, Machine Bolts, and T-Bolts. They are manufactured in materials such as stainless steel, alloy steel, high tensile steel, duplex steel, and nickel alloys to suit different operating environments.

Why are bolts important?

Bolts are important because they provide strong and reliable fastening for structures, machines, and equipment. They ensure safety, stability, and proper alignment of components under vibration, pressure, and load. Unlike welding, bolted joints can be dismantled for inspection, maintenance, and replacement, making them essential in industries such as construction, oil & gas, automotive, power generation, marine, and heavy engineering.
