Unifit Fastener manufactures and exports ASTM B166 Inconel 600 Fasteners (UNS N06600) for high-temperature, corrosive, and high-pressure service environments. Produced from a nickel-chromium alloy, these fasteners deliver exceptional resistance against oxidation, corrosion, and elevated temperatures. The alloy maintains excellent structural stability across continuous service temperatures from cryogenic to 1700°F (927°C), with short-term tolerance up to 2000°F in low-stress oxidising conditions.
Inconel 600 bolts, nuts, screws, and washers are widely specified in chemical processing, marine, aerospace, and heat-treatment applications because of their superior mechanical strength and long service life. The high nickel content (≥72%) enhances resistance against chloride stress corrosion cracking, while chromium forms a protective oxide layer that improves durability in aggressive operating conditions
Socket head cap screws and U-bolts manufactured from UNS N06600 perform reliably under continuous heat and pressure exposure. UNS N06600 derives its 655 MPa minimum tensile strength from solid-solution strengthening of the nickel-chromium matrix; no precipitation hardening is required, making them ideal for critical bolting in chemical plants, furnace equipment, and power generation assemblies.
Request QuoteInconel 600 Fasteners are non-magnetic nickel alloy fastening solutions designed for high-temperature and corrosive service environments. UNS N06600 fasteners combine GTAW/GMAW weldability using ERNiCrFe-3 filler (AWS A5.14) with room-temperature tensile strength ≥655 MPa, making them specified for both fabricated assemblies and heavy industrial bolting under ASME Section IX welding qualifications.
The presence of nickel in Alloy 600 fasteners provides excellent resistance against several organic and inorganic compounds, while chromium improves oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures. These fasteners also perform effectively in alkaline media and environments prone to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking.
Hot and cold forming processes are commonly used for manufacturing ASTM B166 Inconel 600 bolts, screws, threaded rods, and nuts. For optimal results, hot working is performed between 1600°F and 2250°F. Prolonged exposure in the 1000°F to 1400°F (538°C-760°C) sensitisation range should be avoided during fabrication or heat treatment, as carbon precipitation in this range can promote intergranular corrosion.
Chemical plant operators, heat-treatment equipment manufacturers, and nuclear industry procurement teams specify DIN 2.4816 (Inconel 600) heavy hex bolts and threaded fasteners where chromium oxide scale stability above 700°C is a design requirement and where carbon steel or austenitic stainless grades lose creep resistance.

Inconel 600 fasteners are supplied in the annealed condition per ASTM B166. Solution annealing is performed between 1010°C and 1066°C (1850°F-1950°F) followed by rapid cooling to achieve optimum corrosion resistance and mechanical ductility.
Hot working is carried out between 1600°F and 2250°F (871°C-1232°C). Prolonged exposure in the 538°C-760°C (1000°F-1400°F) sensitisation range is avoided during fabrication to prevent carbon precipitation at grain boundaries, which can lead to intergranular corrosion in service.
Inconel 600 Fasteners (UNS N06600) are specified wherever service conditions exceed the oxidation and carburisation resistance of austenitic stainless steel, typically above 650°C, in halide-bearing atmospheres, or in furnace environments with thermal cycling above 1000°C.
At Unifit Fastener, Inconel 600 Fasteners undergo strict quality checks to ensure dimensional accuracy and superior mechanical performance.
Each Inconel 600 fastener batch is released with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates. 3.2 certification (third-party witnessed) is available upon request for nuclear, pressure vessel, or offshore procurement packages.
Unifit Fastener supplies Inconel 600 Fasteners with export-grade packaging to prevent transit damage and contamination.
Each package is marked with heat number, material grade, size, and EN 10204 certificate reference for full traceability on receipt.

Request QuoteInconel 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy known for its high mechanical strength and excellent resistance to heat, oxidation and corrosion. Its composition makes it suitable for demanding industrial applications such as furnaces, chemical plants, marine systems and heat exchangers.
No; Inconel 600 cannot be hardened by conventional heat treatment. Instead, high strength is achieved through cold working (mechanical deformation) which gives the fasteners high accuracy and durability in demanding conditions.
Yes. The chromium content provides stability and protection against oxidation and sulfur environments, while the nickel content protects against carburization at high temperatures.
Yes. The alloy maintains impact strength and structural integrity even at very low temperatures, making it suitable for cryogenic and low-temperature applications.
