Incoloy 825 Round Bar (UNS N08825) is an austenitic Ni-Fe-Cr alloy stabilised with titanium and alloyed with molybdenum and copper — delivering dual-environment corrosion resistance in both reducing acids (H2SO4, H3PO4) and oxidising media at service temperatures from cryogenic conditions to 550C in continuous structural duty. This Ni superalloy is stabilized with Ti and alloyed with Mo and Cu that provide outstanding resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting, crevice corrosion and intergranular corrosion, even in oxidising and reducing acids.

They are available in hot-rolled, cold-drawn, bright, polished, forged and black finishes and are in accordance with UNS N08825, Werkstoff Nr. Incoloy 825 max. service temp 550C represents practical structural service in aqueous corrosive media. Oxidation resistance limit in air is approximately 982C, however continuous high-temperature dry-gas service above 550C is not recommended. Selection should be based on the specific corrosion environment.

Incoloy 825 has a lower nickel base (38–46% vs 58%+ for Inconel 625) which makes it more economical. It excels in reducing acids (H2SO4, H3PO4) where Inconel 625 offers less advantage. Hastelloy C276 provides superior oxidising acid resistance and higher temperature capability but at significantly higher cost. For balanced corrosion resistance at medium cost, Incoloy 825 is often the optimal choice.
