Unifit Fastener provides a high-quality line of Hastelloy round bars which can be used in very corrosive and hot temperatures. Hastelloy is an alloy of nickel, mainly consisting of nickel, chromium and molybdenum, with carefully added tungsten, which has a great impact on the aggressiveness of the media. These qualities make Hastelloy bars one of the most reliable materials in terms of industrial needs that are very demanding.
Unifit Fastener provides products such as Hastelloy flat bars, hex bars and rods that are very resistant to corrosion whether in oxidising or reducing atmospheres. Hastelloy C276 round bar and hastelloy c22 round bar grades are especially useful in combating chlorine-induced stress corrosion cracking, pitting and crevice corrosion. The chemistry of the alloy enables it to resist oxidative chemicals at temperatures of up to 1900°F, which makes it applicable in chemical processing and activities that demand a lot of heat.
Hastelloy C276 round bars contain low carbon levels, and this lowers the amount of carbide that precipitates, thus enhancing high levels of performance even after welding. Although such alloys cannot be hardened with the help of heat treatment, they are susceptible to cold working and exhibit high rates of work hardening in contrast to traditional austenitic steels. Hastelloy X and C4 round bars are also characterised by their great fabricability and are welded with the usual methods.
Werkstoff 2.4819 rectangular bars are a great product in marine and crevice services whereby normal stainless steels have been failing. The reason why Hastelloy bars are commonly employed in sour gas wells is their ability to resist hydrogen sulphide, carbon dioxide, and chlorides. Unifit Fastener can be a reliable supplier of Hastelloy round bars in different industries due to constant quality, competitive prices, and reliable supply.

Hastelloy bars are widely used in industries where corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength are critical. Key applications include:
Hastelloy is a nickel-based superalloy widely used in industries requiring exceptional corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength. It is commonly used in chemical processing, oil and gas, marine environments, power generation, pharmaceutical, and aerospace applications. Hastelloy bars, rods, and billets are suitable for piping, reactors, valves, heat exchangers, and machinery exposed to acids, chlorides, or high-temperature oxidative environments.
Hastelloy offers superior corrosion resistance compared to most stainless steels, especially in oxidizing and reducing acids, chloride-rich, and high-temperature environments. While stainless steel is cost-effective and widely used, Hastelloy is preferred for harsh chemical or extreme conditions due to its resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. For critical industrial applications, Hastelloy is considered better than conventional stainless steel.
The price of Hastelloy C276 round bars varies based on size, finish, and quantity. On average, the cost ranges from $29 to $30 per kilogram. For larger quantities or flat/hex bars, pricing is usually calculated per ton, with variations depending on suppliers and delivery requirements.
Hastelloy C276 round bars conform to ASTM B574 / ASTM SB574 standards and are available in sizes ranging from 3 mm to 500 mm in diameter, with lengths from 100 mm to 6000 mm. They are supplied in round, square, hexagonal, and flat forms with finishes such as bright polished, black, rough turned, BA, and NO.4 finishes. The bars have tight tolerances as per BS 970-3 and ISO H series, making them suitable for machining, welding, and industrial fabrication.
