Copper nickel, also called cupronickel, is a high-performance alloy that is extensively used due to it being a strong and durable material and also having corrosion resistance. In Unifit Fastener, the copper-nickel round bars are produced with a nickel content of between 10 and 30 per cent in combination with copper and trace metals such as iron and manganese. This fine structure offers great protection against corrosion, erosion, and reducing conditions, and the material can be applied to the marine, offshore, and industrial areas.

Copper nickel round bar are available with a consistent thermal conductivity of about 50 W/mK so that the mechanical performance can be maintained consistently despite varying temperature conditions. The 70 30 Copper Nickel Round Bar that includes 70 per cent of copper and 30 per cent of nickel is particularly useful due to the high level of resistance to seawater corrosion and biofouling. Equally, the 90/10 copper-nickel round bar provides superior ductility, hardness and general corrosion resistance and is thus suitable for piping and heat exchanger systems.
